February 28, 2024 - Mariposa County Health & Human Services (HHSA) is excited to announce the launch of the Mariposa County Information Exchange (MCIE), a web-based platform made possible through a partnership with NinePatch®.

In 2022, HHSA was awarded grant funds from the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to implement a Community Information Exchange (CIE) for Mariposa County. After an intense RFP process HHSA selected NinePatch® in part due to their user-friendly platform and existing presence among other counties in California. Implementation began in early 2023, including system setup for a production and training environment, thorough training for system administration, development of in-house training materials, and customization of the system to meet the needs of Mariposa County.

“As the Health & Human Services Agency for Mariposa County, we aim to provide personcentered services that are culturally competent, trauma informed and promote positive outcomes. The MCIE will allow for better data and information sharing between HHSA, partner organizations, and community-based organizations. Clients can be entered into the MCIE as soon as they engage with our office and this will allow for client case information and referrals to be shared with their care team timely, and confidentially.” says director Joe Lynch.

“Implementation of the MCIE will enhance the client experience by providing service that aligns with our System of Care philosophy, which focuses on the holistic needs of an individual/family and allows for more comprehensive services to support them in their journey based on their voice and choice,” says project lead and Deputy Director of Administrative Services, Andy Carter.

Work has already begun with partner organizations to keep them informed of progress and integration needs and HHSA has started conversations with additional partner groups sharing information on the project and what it might look like in the future to form new partnerships as the MCIE expands. HHSA Staff have been introduced to the MCIE and are excited to begin engaging clients and community members with the new platform.
