Homicide Victim Identified; Detectives Seek Public’s Help to Identify Killer

March 5, 2024 - Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that Members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Crime FCSO QuezadaScene Unit have identified 43-year-old Cesar Quezada (pictured) of Sanger as the victim of a recent homicide.

Around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, deputies responded to a call of shots fired on the 3100 block of S. Indianola Ave. in Sanger.  Outside a home, they found a man with gunshot wounds.  Deputies and EMS provided life-saving efforts, but the man died.  Family members of the victim lived at the home where he was shot.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation.  They are working to collect possible surveillance video from the surrounding area and speak with people who knew Cesar Quezada to try and determine who is responsible for the deadly shooting.  Detectives are still gathering specifics behind the motive, but do believe this was an isolated incident, not a random act of violence.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to please contact Sheriff’s Detective Juan Galindo at (559) 600-8215, juan.galindo@fresnosheriff.org or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867, www.valleycrimestoppers.org.  You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.  Reference case # 24-2548.
