On Saturday evening December 4, 2010 the Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce Merry Mountain Christmas Parade rolled down Highway 140 to the delight of everyone in attendance. Everything was lit by colored lights from the Firetrucks to the Mariposa County High School Band to the mounted horses. Although the morning hours had drips and drops of rain, the afternoon hours cleared the chance of rain away. Highway 140 was lined with people from downtown Mariposa out to the Happy Burger Restaurant as local residents and tourists gathered for this evening parade. The parade was judged a success by everyone that had a comment about it and they said they look forward to having the parade during the evening hours in 2011.
