March 7, 2024 - Madera, California – Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 12, 2024! This year, we are thrilled to announce that after a five-year KidsDay 2024 madera childrens hospitalhiatus, thousands of dedicated volunteers will once again hit the streets to sell special Kids Day newspapers. These beloved papers, brimming with inspiring stories and captivating photography, will be available for a suggested donation of $2 each across Fresno, Madera, Merced, Stanislaus, Mariposa, Kings and Tulare counties. This year’s goal is $400,000 to help support Valley Children’s Hospital - a cause that touches the hearts of our entire community.

Since 1988, Kids Day has raised more than $11 million for “The Children’s Fund.” Last year, donations helped Valley Children’s expand neuro-oncology, hematology and precision medicine programs; provide care for more than 382,000 patient encounters; support 85,100 visits to our Emergency Department; and earn recognition from The Leapfrog Group as a Top Children’s Hospital for quality and patient care.

Students at more than 250 schools from Modesto to Porterville will also participate. This includes elementary, junior high and high schools, along with junior colleges and universities.

Drivers are reminded to use caution and be aware of volunteers selling newspapers on street corners throughout the Valley from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

To contribute to Kids Day, you can buy a newspaper on Tuesday, text GEORGE to 20222 to make an automatic $10 donation or go online at www.valleychildrens.org/donatetokidsday.
