The Mariposa County Resource Conservation District (MCRCD) is looking for new Associate Directors to assist the MCRCD Board.  The MCRCD was formed in 1954 and has continued to serve Mariposa County since.  In California, RCD’s are special districts and operate according to Division 9 of the California Public Resources Code.  They are charged with the responsibility of providing local guidance toward conserving the natural resources of the district in which they serve. 

As an Associate Director, your duties would be to assist the Directors with valuable feedback regarding issues relating to Mariposa County’s Natural Resources.  The term of office for an Associate Director is two years and an individual may resign at any time.  If after serving for 6 months there is a vacancy on the Board of Directors, an Associate Director may apply for an appointment to be a Director.

The MCRCD Board of Directors meet the first Wednesday of the month at 5 p.m. in the conference room at the Agriculture Complex building located at 5009 Fairgrounds Road, Mariposa, CA 95338. 

Each month the agenda is posted on the MCRCD website at: www.mcrcd.net, one week prior to the meeting.
