Sierra Foothill Charter School eighth grader Sergio Ramirez won third place in this year’s Veteran’s of Foreign War Patriot’s Pen contest. This competition gives students in grades 6-8 an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on a patriotic theme.
This year’s theme was “What Freedom Means to Me.” Sergio was honored at an awards ceremony on Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Mariposa where he read his essay. Great job, Sergio!
