Ramp Closures Scheduled for March 24-30, 2024
March 22, 2024 - MERCED COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following ramp closures next week on State Route-99 (SR-99) for the Merced 99 Pavement Rehabilitation construction project. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

Motorists are urged to use extra caution and slow down to a maximum speed of 45 MPH in construction zones where barricaded and split lanes are in place.

- Alternating lane closure on southbound SR-99 from Franklin Slough to Colony Slough for construction beginning Sunday, March 24, through Friday, March 29, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Alternating lane closure on northbound SR-99 from Colony Sloughy to Franklin Slough for construction beginning Sunday, March 24, through Friday, March 29, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full on- and off-ramp closures on southbound SR-99 at Childs Avenue Over-Crossing for construction beginning Sunday, March 24, through Friday, March 29, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
