Sierra Foothill Charter School teachers Teena Starchman, Erika Miranda, and Steph Evans are participating with other local teachers in a program called, "Guitars in the Classroom." Through this, they learn how to play the guitar and the ukulele and then bring the instruments into the classroom so they can play music with their students.

This teacher training program is twice a month and continues through May. The program is taught by Gail Dreifus and funded through a grant. In addition to lessons, each participating teacher receives a guitar and a ukulele.

The SFCS teachers look forward to incorporating more music into their curriculum with the help of this program.
