May 4, 2024 - On Friday, Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials provided an update: After a review of new evidence, it's been determined Solano never contacted the victim ahead of time by posing as a teenage girl. He made up this story. Solano was in the area, saw the parked car as an opportunity to steal, and acted upon it.

May 2, 2024 - Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report Sheriff’s detectives have arrested 19 year old Isaac Solano of Fresno. He is facing charges of carjacking, robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. He remains in jail and is not currently eligible for bail.

On Sunday, April 21, 2024, deputies were dispatched to the area of Manning and Walnut Avenues, south of Easton. There they contacted a man who said he had pulled over near an orchard and was resting in his car. Suddenly a guy pulled him out of his car and beat him up with a baseball bat. The suspect robbed him of his car and cell phone, then fled in his vehicle.

The next day, a deputy on patrol spotted the stolen vehicle and contacted a young man and woman inside. The deputy learned the man, Isaac Solano, engaged the victim in an online conversation where he posed as a female teenager. An agreement was made to meet for sexual favors. The plan all along was to set him up to be robbed. The deputy arrested Solano for his crimes.

Anyone with additional information about Solano is asked to please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867, www.valleycrimestoppers.org You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Reference case #24-4562.
