Mariposa County Resource Conservation District (MCRCD) would like to thank Merlin & Meriam Jones, and Emery & Betsy Ross for their generous donations to the MCRCD Range Camp scholarship fund. Together they have donated $1,200 towards the sponsorship of Mariposa County youth.
The California-Pacific Section of the Society for Range Management is an educational camp in which youth ages 15-18 (must be in High school) who are interested in natural resources management and science are eligible to apply for a space at camp (space is limited to 25-30). Camp costs are $400 per youth but, does include meals, lodging, recreation and transportation while at camp. Due to the expense of camp, most youth must seek out sponsorship in order to attend; the generosity of the Jones & Ross families will allow MCRCD to sponsor up to four youth in the upcoming 2016 camp year. Thank you!
