A wide array of classes leading to employment or those that build a path toward transferring to a university is available for new and returning students.
Enrolling in classes is an easy process, and Merced College has five steps to ensure your success.
It begins with filling out an application, followed by an orientation session and an assessment process that will assist counselors in placing students in the most suitable classes.
Counselors provide valuable assistance to students with creating their own individual educational plan. Once these steps are completed, students can then sign up for classes.
Tuition is $46 per unit, and students may be eligible for the Board of Governors’ Fee Waiver program, as well as financial aid. Financial Aid advisers are available to assist students in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (fafsa) form. The Financial Aid office is located in the Lesher Student Services Center on the Merced campus and in Building A at the Los Banos Campus. Call 209.381.6435 for more information.
Once students are enrolled, Merced College continues to support them through a variety of student support services, including tutorial services and writing and math labs. The College’s Student Success Program also provides student success workshops in Study Central, as well as the innovative Supplemental Instruction and Learning Communities programs.
