Bass Lake Regulations 

June 2, 2024 – Madera County Sheriff's Office officials issue a public safety reminder to residents and visitors, Bass Lake is open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A speed limit of 5 mph is *mandatory* between the hours of sunset or 8:00 P.M., whichever occurs earlier, and 8:00 A.M. the following day.

Paddle boards shall only be ridden within the 5 mph zone, unless accompanying a swimmer which shall remain within 25 feet of the swimmer at all times, between 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M.

Our Bass Lake Boat Patrol Unit will be out on the water ensuring everyone is enjoying their time safely and responsibly. Reports or requests for assistance can be made by calling our Communications Center at (559) 675-7770.
