June 14, 2024 – Mariposa County announces that construction on the Gateway Elements Project has begun! To accommodate for this work, short delays may occur over the next few weeks at the 140/49 intersection on the north end of town.

This project is part of Mariposa County's Creative Placemaking Strategy and is funded by a Clean California Grant from Caltrans. Installation of the monuments will take place in the next few weeks, with the landscaping then taking a few years to be established.
