Bridge Closure
June 18, 2024 – Mariposa County officials report that Public Works is entering into an emergency contract with American Paving Company to temporarily re-deck the Harris Road bridge.
This construction will require the full closure of the bridge from Wednesday, June 19th to Friday, June 28th. Residents on the east side of the East Fork Chowchilla River will need to use Harris Road to enter and exit the subdivision. A timber deck and wooden railings will be constructed and maintained for the next two years until a new concrete two-lane bridge is built at the same location. The public’s patience and consideration during this construction are appreciated.
