June 19, 2024 – Kern County Sheriff's Office officials report that on June 14, 2024, Deputies from the East Area Substations Section began working on a Community Oriented Policing project (COPS) in the Tehachapi area. Deputies learned about numerous Vagos motorcycle gang members in the area that were harassing customers at a local business. During the community policing project, deputies conducted a Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) search at a residence in the 20,000 block of Dawn Avenue, Tehachapi California. Inside the residence, the Deputy located gang paraphernalia, a firearm concealed inside a Vagos vest, a firearm concealed in a motorcycle, a fully automatic machine gun, and a 40MM launcher.
As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested 37-year-old Angela Vasquez of Tehachapi for numerous felonies including firearm charges, child endangerment, and a gang enhancement. Deputies also obtained a $305,000 Ramey Warrant for 37-year-old Ulisses Navarette of Tehachapi. The warrant is for numerous felonies and a gang enhancement. Navarette has not been located.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect, ULISSES NAVARETTE, age 37, who has an active arrest warrant in connection with weapons and gang charges in connection to the “Vagos” Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. NAVARETTE should be considered armed.
