The Mother Lode Jewish Community (MLJC) will be holding a seminar, entitled Jewish Ethics: An Exploration of Our Tradition's Values, on Sunday, February 21st. It will be in the Sonora/Jamestown area beginning at 11 a.m. Rabbi Andra Greenwald, a member of the MLJC, will lead participants in an exploration of the values that help enrich each of our lives and the world in which we live. Following a pot-luck lunch at noon, small groups will be organized in which to discuss and explore the values and behaviors found within the Pirkei Avot, the Ethics of Our Fathers, a compendium of Jewish ethics. There is no charge for this event.
Future events on the MLJC calendar include a Purim Party in the Murphy’s area on Saturday, March 26th and a Passover Seder Dinner in the Sonora area on Saturday, April 23rd, the second night of Passover.
