High-Temperatures Forecast for the Next Week – Several Locations Available to Cool-Off 

July 3, 2024 - Tuolumne County Sheriff Office officials report that Tuolumne County OES reports there is high heat forecast throughout the next week and there will be several locations open where community members can go to escape the heat. Locations and hours include:

• Sonora Library, 480 Greenley Road – Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., the conference room will be open Thursday 4^th of July 12:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 7^th 12:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Sonora Enrichment Center, 101 Hospital Road – Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Sonora Lambert Center, 347 W. Jackson Street – Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Twain Harte Library, 18701 Tiffeni Drive #1F – Tuesday/Wednesday 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Friday/Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Tuolumne Library, 18636 Main Street – Tuesday/Wednesday – 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Friday/Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Jamestown Community Hall Mobile Book Mobile, 18250 Main Street – Saturday 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Groveland Library, 18990 Hwy 120 – Tuesday/Wednesday 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Friday/Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Tuolumne County Animal Control reports they will provide a cooling center at their office for pets free of charge and request the public call at 209-694-2730 if pets need to be brought in.
