During December 2015, 610 residents were unemployed. A drop of 15.3% from December 2014 when 720 residents were unemployed.
The Leisure and Hospitality industry with 1,690 workers during December 2015 employed 30 fewer workers (-1.7%) than during November 2015 when 1,720 workers were in the industry. Compared to December 2014 the Leisure and Hospitality industry employed 40 additional workers (+ 2.4%) when the industry employed 1,650 workers.
The Government employed 4.2% more workers during December 2015 (1,980) than in December 2014 when 1,900 people were employed in Government jobs.
December 2015 Mining and Logging employment (20 employees) increased 100% over December 2014 (10 employees).
Construction employment in December 2015 was the same as December 2014 with 170 employees.
The Civilian Labor Force came in at 7,580 during December 2015. The Labor Force decreased by 90 people (-1.2%) from December 2014 when the Labor Force was at 7,670.
There were 6,970 employees in the county during December 2015, an increase of 10 employees in the county over December 2014 when 6,960 residents were working in the county. That results in a year to year increase of +0.1%.
