TCSO Detectives Investigating Child Endangerment/Neglect After Baby is Left in Car for Two Hours 

July 10, 2024 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at around 1:20 p.m. on July 9, 2024, TCSO Deputies were called to a home on the 29900 Block of Road 168 in Visalia for a four-month-old left in a vehicle. 

When they arrived, Deputies learned the infant was left unattended by the mother for about two hours while the vehicle was turned off and all doors and windows were closed.  The infant was treated by medical personnel on scene and taken to a local hospital. She has since been released.

The mother, 30-year-old Ashley Hamlin, was taken into custody for child endangerment and booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
