Strathmore Man Arrested for Ripping Off Local Farmer
July 12, 2024 – Tulare County Sheriff's Office officials report that on July 1, 2024, TCSO AG Unit Detectives were notified of the theft of chemicals from a local farmer in the Strathmore/Lindsay area.
AG Detectives began investigating and were able to track down the vehicle that was seen on surveillance video parked at a home in Strathmore. Through their investigation, Detectives learned 41-year-old Elijio Ceballos was driving the vehicle at the time of the chemical theft.
Ag Detectives served a warrant at the home in Strathmore and found the stolen chemicals, as well as several thousands of dollars in other stolen Ag-related items.
During the search, Detectives also found a 12-gauge shotgun and ammo. Ceballos is a convicted felon and was prohibited from having guns and ammunition. He was booked at the South County Detention Facility for Grand Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a Felon in Possession of Ammunition and Possession of Methamphetamine.
