July 14, 2024 – Fresno Police Department officials report that the Southeast patrol officers recently responded to a reported domestic disturbance. As officers contacted the involved male, he ran from officers and jumped into the canal in an attempt to escape. The suspect quickly became exhausted and was directed to the side by officers. Officers formed a chain by locking forearms and pulled the suspect to safety.

The male was medically cleared before being arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for domestic violence.

The suspect’s face was blurred to protect the victim’s identity.
