Heads Up for Our Hiking Community! 

July 18, 2024 – Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks officials report that the Big Baldy Trail and parking area will be closed today on Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19 as work teams continue to clean up hazardous trees. The tree hazard mitigation project minimizes the threat to public safety and National Park Service infrastructure from hazardous trees that were killed or damaged by the KNP Complex Wildfire.
