Gang Unit Arrests 

July 26, 2024 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on July 20, 2024, the Gang Suppression Unit executed a search warrant at a property in the 100 block of Quantico Avenue, in Bakersfield. The investigation resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, fentanyl, a loaded revolver, and approximately $1,200.00 in US currency. During the investigation, deputies located indicia for the sales of narcotics. James Pallemeier, 41, was arrested and booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Lerdo Justice Facility, for the following charges: felon in possession of a firearm/ ammunition and possession of a controlled substance for sales.

On July 20, 2024, deputies assigned to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Gang Suppression Unit, contacted Manuel Palacios, 26, in the 1700 block of Flower Street, in Bakersfield. Palacios was on Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS). During the investigation, deputies located a stolen firearm on his person. Palacios was arrested and booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Lerdo Justice Facility, for the following charges: felon in possession of a firearm/ ammunition and theft of a firearm.
