July 27, 2024 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that Fresno County Sheriff John Zanoni Responds to Attorney General Bonta and Secretary of State Weber's Decision to File a Lawsuit to Invalidate Fresno County Election on Measure A.

The passage of Measure A permanently keeps the Sheriff and District Attorney on the traditional gubernatorial election cycle (2026), instead of moving it to California's desired presidential election cycle (2028). 

Sheriff Zanoni believes Fresno County voters should make the decision, which they did in the March 2024 primary election by supporting Measure A.
