July 31, 2024 – The Mariposa Ukulele Ensemble will make their Music on the Green debut on Friday, August 9 and Snake Rock will perform on Saturday, August 10.

The Mariposa Ukulele Ensemble is led by Mariposa's prolific Gail Dreifus. It started as 7 people interested in ukulele lessons and has blossomed over seven years into a 25-member ensemble with upright bass, harmonica, drums, bass uke, banjolele and vocal soloists.

Snake Rock is a local Rock band led by lifetime Mariposa musician Billy Dewitt. Singer, songwriter, rocker, Billy Dewitt has been writing, performing, and recording music in Mariposa for about as long or longer than any other local musician. Carrying on his family legacy in the Mariposa music scene he returns to the Art Park stage with his band playing originals and covers.

Snake Rock to perform on Saturday, August 10

All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park (5013 Hwy 140) in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Parking is available along 4^th and 5^th St. The lower 5^th St. parking lot provides an accessible pedestrian path to the Art Park through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry. Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
