Returning Home After a Wildfire? 

August 3, 2024 – Mariposa County Health & Human Services issues announcement that if you live in a rural area, it is possible that your homes water is provided by a well. Wells can be negatively impacted when wildfires come through. When you return after the wildfire, take the time to look at your well and septic system, including the piping and plumbing. If the fire burned these items, reach out to a licensed professional to make sure it is safe to use or to determine what work needs to be done.
