August 5, 2024 – Madera Police Department officials report that last night at approximately 9:01 P.M., MPD officers responded to the Fresno River Trail near Riverview Drive and Westberry Boulevard regarding a Hispanic male that pepper sprayed a female walking in the area. As she tried to leave, the male suspect attempted to restrict her movement. The female victim was able to overcome the suspect and get away.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with thick curly hair, wearing a green flannel long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The suspect also has a noticeable limp and may be riding or pushing a bicycle. Police are actively looking for this suspect and are requesting the assistance of the public.
