ARRESTED: Person of Interest in Kings Beach Missing Person Investigation & Reno Homicide Case 

August 15, 2024 – Placer County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday just before 4:00 p.m. Brent Clifford was spotted in Portola by investigators working on the case. Clifford was taken into custody with the help of the Plumas County Sheriff's Office. He’s being held on an active warrant.

The vehicle Brent was believed to be driving, a red 2003 Blazer, was last spotted westbound on Highway 70 from Highway 395 at Hallelujah Junction which led investigators in the direction of Portola. That vehicle was located.

At this time, Patricia Portella-Wright remains missing. She was last seen on the morning of Sunday, August 4^th. She was reported missing on Friday, August 9^th.

Patricia is described as a white female with blonde hair and brown eyes, approximately 5'9" and 125 lbs.
