
Explosive Device
August 17, 2024 – Merced, CA – Merced Police Department officials report that on August 11, at approximately 1:29 A.M. (0129 hours) Merced Police Officers responded to a report of an explosion in the 700 block of Sunol Ct. Initial responding officers were unable to locate the source of the explosion at the time.
Upon follow up investigation, Merced Police officers were able to locate video of the incident and find the location of the initial explosion. From this video Officers were able to locate a residence where the responsible party had fled following the blast.
Merced Police Bomb Team Officers made contact at the residence and were able to obtain evidence and information on the subject, who provided and detonated the explosive device. He was identified as Jadin Tindle, 24 years of age out of Sacramento.
On August 16, 2024, Merced Police Officers with the assistance of Sacramento Sheriff’s Office served a search and arrest warrant on Tindle’s residence in Sacramento. Tindle was located and arrested for his outstanding warrant and booked into the Sacramento County Jail.
