August 17, 2024 – Kern County Sheriff's Office officials report that on August 14, 2024, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Gang Suppression Unit, completed a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the 900 block of Flower Street.

During the investigation, deputies located approximately 547 grams of methamphetamine, ammunition and indicia for the sales of narcotics. The driver of the vehicle, Louie Garcia, 45, was arrested and booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Lerdo Justice Facility, for the following charges: possession and transportation of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, felon in possession of ammunition and participation in a criminal street gang.
