August 18, 2024 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at around 7:00 a.m. on August 17, 2024, TCSO Deputies were called to Avenue 56 and Road 236 in Ducor for a Carjacking.
When Deputies arrived, they learned two farmworkers had been approached by a subject armed with a shotgun while they were working, who then demanded their property and car keys. The suspect then took off in the victims’ car.
Shortly after, Deputies tracked the suspect down driving the victims’ vehicle in Alpaugh. Deputies stopped the car and the driver was taken into custody.
Several residential search warrants were served and all of the victims’ property was recovered, as well as a replica shotgun, which was used in the crime. The suspect was booked for robbery and carjacking.
