TCSO Deputies Track Down Stolen Trailer Full of Pot
August 21, 2024 – Tulare County Sheriff's Office officials report that at around 7:00 p.m. on August 19, 2024, TCSO Deputies were called to take a report of illegal trash dumping outside of Plainview.
While conducting patrol checks shortly after, Deputies saw a full dump trailer in the area and conducted a traffic stop. The trailer was found to be stolen out of the Porterville area.
The driver, Ramón García, and passenger, Jose Chapa, were taken into custody without incident. During a search of the truck and trailer, a large amount of processed marijuana was found.
García, is on Felony probation, was booked into custody for possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana for sale and a felony warrant for a weapons violation.
Chapa was booked into custody for possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana for sale and a misdemeanor warrant for DUI.
