August 28, 2024 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they need your assistance in locating the responsible vehicle and driver of a fatal hit-and-run that happened early Saturday morning around 6:30 a.m. on Mountain View Avenue west of Peach Avenue. Kenneth Owen, 38, of Kingsburg was driving a go-kart along Mountain View Avenue and was struck from behind and left injured on the side of the road and the responsible driver fled the scene without rendering aid or waiting for law-enforcement to help.

Deputies with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office arrived first and performed life-saving efforts. Unfortunately, despite all efforts the driver of the go-kart was pronounced deceased at the scene. Evidence located has led us to believe we are looking for a 2012-2015 Toyota Tacoma, with right front bumper damage, similar to the picture in this post.

Anyone with information on the driver who fled the scene should contact local law enforcement or submit an anonymous tip with Valley Crime Stoppers.
