Homicide Investigation 

September 5, 2024 – Merced, CA – Merced Police Department officials report that on September 3, 2024, at approximately 8:31 p.m., Merced Police officers responded to the 3900 block of Alviso Dr. in Merced for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, suffering from several puncture wounds to the left side of his upper torso. The victim was transported to an area hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses identified a juvenile suspect in the assault. The juvenile had been in an altercation with the victim while the victim was sitting in his vehicle. Detectives are actively pursuing leads in an effort to locate the juvenile wanted in connection with this homicide investigation.
