Homicide Investigation 

September 10, 2024 – Merced, CA – Merced Police Department officials report that on September 9, 2024, at approximately 5:50 A.M., the Merced Police Department received a call regarding an unresponsive male in the 1800 block of West North Bear Creek Drive in Merced.  Officers responded to the area and located a male juvenile victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives and crime scene personnel responded to take over the investigation.  Detectives are conducting a thorough canvass of the area for witnesses and video surveillance.  This investigation remains ongoing, and no suspects have been identified.
