September 18, 2024 – Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday they officially welcomed five new members to our beloved Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office crew. Please join us in congratulating:

Randi Keith, our newest dispatcher assisting you from behind the other line.

Alex Campama, a recent graduate from the academy and our newest Deputy Sheriff.

Our three newest hires in our custody division. Kannon Gibson, Christopher Posey, and Amanda Gonzalez.

Additionally, we promoted two very deserving and hard-working individuals. Congratulations to our newest Operations Captain Wes Smith, and Patrol Sergeant William Tucker. These two have deep roots within our department and we are excited for them to join the leadership ranks in the Operations Division and Patrol Bureau.

Finally, we bid farewell to two men who collectively have given 50 years of service to the people of Mariposa County. Bob Garrett “Bailiff Bob” who served 22 years with us, and Joe Brantley, our evidence technician who served 28. We as a family are forever grateful for their thankless service to our community.

These men and women that stood before you yesterday now stand before you every day as individuals who have freely chosen to protect and to serve the community around them. On behalf of the entire county, congratulations to you all.
