September 21, 2024 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 14, 2024, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Gang Suppression Unit, completed a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle on Highway 99 near Rosedale Highway. Deputies located approximately 338 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle. During the investigation, deputies executed a search warrant in the 4500 block of Cottonwood Road. Deputies located approximately 25 pounds of methamphetamine at the property.
The driver of the vehicle, Hugo Jaimes, 34, was arrested and booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Lerdo Justice Facility for the following charges: Possession and transportation of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, as well as several California Vehicle Code violations.
