Extensive Yosemite National Park Clean-Up Event on September 25-29, 2024
September 24, 2024 – Yosemite National Park officials announce this year’s 21st annual Yosemite Facelift will be held on September 25-29, 2024.
Yosemite Facelift is an annual event that encourages stewardship and preservation of the environment in which we love to spend time. In its 21st year, Facelift has evolved to feature special talks and panel discussions, while still maintaining its roots as a volunteer cleanup. From September 25-29, volunteers will work together to clean up Yosemite, giving back to the land that provides us with recreation, peace, and inspiration. Thanks to the Yosemite Climbing Association for this continued partnership!
National Public Lands Day falls on September 28, providing an extra incentive to get outside and give back. You can celebrate by:
- Picking up trash or participating in a special restoration project for Facelift.
- Enjoying a picnic while following Leave No Trace principles.
- Learning about the seven traditionally associated tribes of Yosemite, the original and enduring stewards of the park.
- Taking a walk outside to observe the changing seasons and any wildlife that you may encounter.
Please note, that although September 28 is a fee-free day, you will still need a ($2) reservation to drive into or through the park between 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
