February 20, 2016 - The Oakhurst CHP reports Ronald Thomas, 56, of Mariposa was involved in an injury accident near Raymond on Thursday, February 18, 2016.
Ronald Thomas was driving a 1995 Mercury westbound on Road 600 west of Eagle Drive at around 7:00 A.M. at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle. The Mercury left the roadway, hit a hillside twice before overturning on it's roof and partially blocking the eastbound lane. Mr. Thomas left the accident scene and was contacted by the CHP at 9:15 A.M. about one mile east of the accident.
Ronald Thomas was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with moderate injuries.
The CHP reports Mr. Thomas was not arrested but the hit and run portion of the collision is still under investigation.
