October 7, 2024 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that just before 12:00 a.m. on October 5, 2024, TCSO Deputies were called to a home on the 38700 Block of Road 144 in Yettem for a large party with shots fired.

When Deputies arrived, they heard additional gunshots coming from the party, followed by screaming and yelling. Deputies were directed to a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

During their investigation, Deputies learned the victim was one of several men who confronted three Northern Gang members for bringing guns to the party. The victim has no gang ties.

Deputies detained the three suspects and found evidence tying them to the shooting. Detectives took over the investigation and arrested 18-year-old Daniel Tanguma of Porterville, 20-year-old Jacob Salinas of Porterville and 18-year-old Mathew Mejia of Visalia. They were booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility on attempted murder charges, along with various firearms charges.
