The Northside Community turned out in droves for this year’s Gala Museum Reopening that took place Saturday, February 6th, 2016.  A number of folks dressed in traveling duds from past eras in keeping with his year’s theme: All Aboard to Coulterville.  Sabrina Mason brought her stock of hilarious hats, glasses and assorted paraphernalia (not necessarily historic) for those bold enough to wear them and received complimentary photos printed on the spot.  Thanks to the hard work of so many volunteers, there was much to enjoy… well thought out new displays, great food and refreshments and tons of items donated for both a silent and live auction.  Photos of the event are on the Northern Mariposa County History Center Facebook page and are easily shared.  Cathy Partan, 2016 Gala chair and co-chair of the Display committee, wants to extend a big thank-you to both committees and many other volunteers that worked hard…soliciting an incredible array of gifts for the auction, making all of the delicious food, setting up, serving, cleaning up and doing all the other tasks needed to make such a great event.
