October 10, 2024 – Madera County Public Works Department officials announce upcoming roadwork in Madera County.

COMMUTER ALERT: Roadwork for the 2021 Shoulder Paving Project is scheduled to begin Monday, October 14, 2024, and is expected to continue for several months. The project will include paving of dirt shoulders along the identified routes.

The project includes work at the following locations (in no particular order):

Location 1 - Robertson Blvd. from Avenue 18-1/2 to State Route 152 (Start Date 10/14/24)

Location 2 - Avenue 18-1/2 from Golden State Blvd. to 5 miles West

Location 3 - Road 16 from SR-152 to Avenue 24

Location 4 - Avenue 9 from Road 38 to Road 40-1/2

Location 5 - Avenue 7 from SR-145 to Road 30-1/2

Location 6 - Avenue 12 from Road 19 to Road 23

Work will start at Robertson Blvd.

Work dates for each location will vary depending on rate of progress at preceding locations. Information will be updated here as it becomes available.

During construction, Cal Valley Construction, the Contractor, will implement construction zone traffic control at these locations, which may include road closures, lane closures, and piloting traffic control. This may result in delays to travelers through these areas.

Please drive cautiously, slow down, pay attention to construction zone signs and traffic control, and be aware of workers in this area.
