October 17, 2024 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday morning, 32 Tulare County Sheriff’s Detectives and 10 officers from local law enforcement agencies, spanned out across the county to bring domestic violence offenders to justice. This Domestic Violence Sweep was part of the 21st Annual National Family Violence Apprehension Detail held during the month of October, which has been designated as Domestic Violence Awareness month.
So far this month, 26 domestic violence offenders have been arrested. Due to the nature of the arrest warrants, the names of those arrested will not be released to protect the identity of the victims.
Eight local law enforcement agencies participated: Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, Visalia Police Department, Dinuba Police Department, Tulare Police Department, Porterville Police Department, Lindsay Police Department, Tulare County District Attorney’s Office and the Tulare County Probation Department.
