Meth Found Hidden in Sourdough
October 18, 2024 – Placer County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, deputies were called to check on a vehicle behind the Raley’s in North Auburn. Once on scene, deputies saw signs of drug use inside the car. K9 Axel, who is trained in narcotics detection, conducted a narcotics sniff of the vehicle. He alerted on a loaf of sourdough. Deputies checked inside the bread and found suspected methamphetamine. There were also indicators of drug sales throughout the car.
The two people inside the car showed signs of being under the influence of a stimulant. They were booked into jail on several charges including felony possession of a controlled substance for sale and for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
