HELP NEEDED: Can you help us find this woman who was nearly hit by a suspect running from deputies?
October 19, 2024 – Placer County Sheriff's Office officials report that on June 10th, 2024, at 9:20 p.m. a deputy attempted to pull over a dark red GMC pickup truck at Baseline Road and Walerga Road. It matched the description of a vehicle that was involved in a pursuit the week prior but was terminated for safety purposes. Once again, the driver, identified as 42-year-old Evgeniy Gubanov of Rio Linda, refused to pull over and the pursuit began. During the pursuit Gubanov went over curbs, ran through stop signs, drove into oncoming traffic and narrowly missed hitting a woman pushing a child in a stroller while running a red light at Elverta Road and Titan Drive. Gubanov eventually crashed his truck, tried to run and hide but was quickly located by deputies and arrested.
