October 27, 2024 – Mariposa FFA seeks communities support sponsoring students interested in participating in Mariposa County High School competitive welding team.

With program growth comes growing pains! Mariposa FFA has over 40 students interested in participating on our competitive welding team. We don’t want to turn anyone away but our chapter is not able to support all of these kids with the necessary tools during our practices. Our Ag Boosters program already supports the purchase of steel for the class and team, but now we need your help!

If you, your business, or anyone you know would be willing to SPONSOR students on the team with $200, we will be able to purchase the posted list of tools (view tool list below). This will help them practice and potentially compete around the state with these tools. Although the competitive team is made up of 4-7 members, the best part is when the student is done with the team as a senior they will get to KEEP the tools. Talk about supporting trade skill education!

Please reach out to our chapter or Mr. Rowley if interested in helping this cause!
