Related: 2024 Firewood Permits Now Available in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

October 27, 2024 - SONORA, CALIFORNIA - Beginning Monday, October 28, firewood permits for the Stanislaus National Forest will be available for purchase through a new online E-Permit system.  Permits may be purchased by computer or mobile device any time and eliminates traveling to your local Forest Service office.  

This new service provides flexibility and convenience to our forest users. To purchase a firewood permit or to learn more about permits and gathering firewood online at:  https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/stanislaus/passes-permits/forestproducts

Traditional firewood permits will still be available to purchase at local Forest Service offices, or participating vendors. 

The Forest Service will continue to refine and improve the quality of the online permit system and add additional special forest product permits in the future.
