10th Annual Mariposa Field Of Service – Past & Present
October 30, 2024 – Mariposa County’s Citizenship project from the Hornitos 4-H Club is hosting the 10th Annual Field of Service-Past & Present. During the week of Veterans Day, November 10th through November 17, 2024, hundreds of Flags will fly at the Mariposa Museum and History Center. These flags will pay tribute to all Military Men and Women, Emergency First Responders, Firemen, Law enforcement, and Special People in Our Lives.
The opening ceremony will commence at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 10th.
Each year we celebrate the lives of people in our community and this year we would like to pay honorary tribute to long-time resident, Ervin Leroy Radanovich (09/04/33-12/10/22). Leroy was a much loved Mariposa resident, historian, and friend of virtually all who knew him.
Our special guest speaker this year is U.S. Air Force Captain Kodie Egenolf, pictured below.
Captain Kodie Egenolf is an Aircraft Maintenance Officer with the 144th Fighter Wing’s maintenance group in Fresno, California. In his role, he manages and oversees aircraft maintenance activities to ensure that the unit’s fleet of F-15 fighter jets are operational and ready to fly.
Egenolf has served as a California guardsman with the 144th Fighter Wing for the past nine years. Before his time in California, he served as an Indiana guardsman with the 181st Intelligence Wing. In total, he has served in the Air National Guard for 15 years and received his commission as a military officer in March of 2019. He resides in Merced, California, with his wife and son.
Proceeds from the 10th Annual Field of Service-Past & Present will be donated to the VFW Post 6042, the American Legion Post 567, and the Mariposa Museum and History Center. We hope that you join us in supporting and contributing to this special event.
