Sheriff’s Detectives Conduct Sexual Registrant Compliance Checks on Halloween 

November 1, 2024 – Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Thursday, Sheriff’s Detectives from the Special Victims Unit coordinated a compliance check on Registered Sexual Offenders in Stanislaus County. During the operation, Detectives contacted 22 Registered Sexual Offenders. Of those, 5 were found to be out of compliance with the terms of their release.  All 5 were arrested and booked into the Public Safety Center, where they will  remain in custody through the Halloween weekend.   

The Sheriff’s Office’s would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant as you are out this Halloween night.  Be aware of your surroundings as you are out, stay in groups if possible, and use flashlights.
