November 2, 2024 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Friday, November 1, 2024, shortly after midnight, Northwest officers responded to a reported shooting victim at the Windscape Apartments, located at 353 West Nees Avenue. The reporting party informed the dispatcher that Tyler Hamon had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers observed bullet holes through the front door and cartridge casings on the upstairs landing. Inside the apartment, they found 33-year-old Tyler Hamon in a bedroom, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. Officers and EMS attempted life-saving measures before transporting Hamon to Kaiser Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

This incident marks the 27 murder of 2024, compared to 26 murders this time last year.
